Obesity means being too fat and this is a serious problem throughout the western world. In fact in is bad news that Britain has the highest obesity figures in Europe. This is not good news.

Being too fat is not good for you.

It can cause Type 2 Diabetes

Heart problems

Some types of cancer

Joint problems

Breathing issues

Mental health problems

STATISTICS IN THE UK

2/3 of adults are considered obese

1/4 of 2  - 10 year olds are considered to be obese

1/3 of 11 - 15 year olds are considered to be obese

SUGAR

Sugar is one of the main culprits for our obesity problem as it is found in almost every processed and packaged food.

30% of 4 - 10 year olds get more than the reccommended daily sugar intake just from fizzy drinks alone.

AVOID OBESITY

Cook more healthily

Get involved in our SOUPATHON!

Avoid snacking between meals.

Cut back on sugar in all forms.

Get active!
